2023 Annual General Meeting Notice

On Behalf of the Board of Directors of Swan City Soccer Club (SCSC), the 2023 Annual General Meeting is set for

All SCSC members are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting:

Please note:

1. Swan City Soccer office is located at 2211 Florida Avenue, 2^nd FL, Lakeland, FL 33803.
2. In accordance with Article IX, section 1 of the LTFC By-Laws, all members, in good standing, are entitled to attend and submit their votes at the Annual General All Members, described in section Article VII, section 1 of the LTFC By-Laws, provided they are in good standing, are each entitled to one (1) vote for all matters requiring a vote in a General Meeting.
3. A Member is described in Article IV, of the LTFC By-Laws. A General Member is any person who meet the following criteria:

• Parent of a child, or children, currently registered on a youth team participating as a part of Swan City SC and paid in full.
• Current coach of a team participating in a program of of Swan City SC. 
• Member of a standing committee or an elected officer of Swan City SC. 

 

Board of Directors – Elections 2023

Per Article VIII, section 1 of the Swan City By-Laws, elections shall be held each year at the SCSC general meeting. All elections will be determined by simple majority of those members present and voting and in good standing.

The following positions are selected in odd numbered years, per Article VIII, section 3 – President – VP-Recreation and Secretary.

 

Nominations for the Board

 Elections will be held for three (3) Director Positions – 2- year term positions.

• President
• VP- Recreation
• Secretary

Per Article VIII, section 5 of the SCSC By-Laws, Nominations for all elected positions must be made in writing prior to the Annual General Meeting to the attention of the Swan City Board of Directors.

Please include your written personal statement as well as your Professional CV and soccer background which will be posted to our website five days prior to the AGM.

Interested individuals are invited to submit completed documents to the Technical Director at: clubdirector@swancitysc.com or by sealed mail at the Club office.

All candidate applications must be received by 5 pm on February 24, 2023.

All properly nominated individuals will have their name listed on the ballots. A voice nomination, with second, at the annual general meeting will allow membership the opportunity to vote on the elected positions. Should there be only one candidate for a position, that candidate will be duly elected.

 

General Membership Questions

We invite the membership to submit any questions that they would like addressed during the AGM to the Technical Director by March 1, 2023. Questions will be addressed, and answers shared during the Q & A portion of the AGM. Questions related to matters in the AGM, will also be addressed through the chat function of the virtual platform.
