Bio
Chris Charles was born in San Juan, Trinidad on March 6, 1968. From the time he could walk, he was kicking a soccer ball and his love of the game grew as he did. His career spans more than thirty years and includes as a club player, national team player, and youth coach. Coach Charles has over 18 years of experience and holds a USSF National B License. Over his career, he has held various leadership positions from Director of Player Development [2000-2004] to Director of Training [2003-2007] and finally, Age Group Director [2007-2011]. · In August 2011 Charles moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he coached for Norcross Soccer Association and UFA. In 2015 Charles moved back to Florida, where he rejoined TBU and coached NPL and ECNL until the 20-21 season. In 2021, Coach Charles joined Swan City SC and currently coaches the U13 & U14 Elite teams. During the 2021-2022 season, Coach Charles’ U14 Elite boys’ team Won the NPL League state title.
Coach Charles believes that soccer is a lifestyle; a commitment that requires dedication and a shared goal of player development achieved through skill and effort on and off the field.
